Abstract

The method of the invention is used for continuous preparation of chlorine dioxide under atmospheric pressure or near atmospheric pressure. Alkali metal chlorate and sulphuric acid react in the presence of sulphur dioxide used as a reducing agent and formic acid, forming chlorine dioxide with high efficiency.
